Avilene ate bran cereal and raisins for breakfast. For lunch she ate chicken, whole grain pita bread, olives, cucumbers, bites of peppers, bite of tomatoes, and ate her pears.
Last week during Story Time Atley saw a picture of Dr. Suess on the inside cover of a book and said, "My Daddy! My Daddy!" (In the picture he is getting older with a gray beard.) haha! Atley did it again today; "My Daddy! My Daddy!" Nora said, "My Daddy! My Daddy!" Avi said, "My Daddy! My Daddy!" Hudson said, "NO! That's the author that wrote this book!" (That's an exact quote! Wow!) They kept on chanting and finally Hudson gave up and joined in with everyone else; "My Daddy! My Daddy!" Haha!
In the first picture Nora is using Svea for a pillow as usual! The babies must make Nora feel warm and fuzzy because she always lays her head on them, gets a dreamy look on her face, sucking her thumb, and this time even closing her eyes! All the time I was taking this picture Avi was chanting; "Can I talk to Svea!? Can I talk to Svea!?" "Can I talk to Svea!?" :)
The last two pictures: the kids were watching some birds feeding in the yard. Before I took he picture the birds were actually right up below the window. In the last picture we were just about done with doing some gluing at Art Time. While gluing Avi was being a good helper for Nora getting her pictures with the correct side up! Thank you Avi!

Avi - 6/8/2018
Avilene ate cream of wheat cereal and half of dried plums for breakfast. For lunch she ate most of "baked beef kabobs" with meat, zucchini, peppers, and pineapple. She ate a large serving of brown rice, and a large serving of pineapple on the side.
Atley and Avilene were jumping on the mattress and Atley did a perfect "belly flop" off the blue balance beam! I said something about it and was laughing so Avi went to the top of the igloo and said, "I do a belly flop!" Ha! (She didn't.) Then she was on the balance beam and shut her eyes tight and launched herself sideways off onto the mattress. It looked hilarious and I just roared!! Man that was funny and was she ever proud of herself for making me laugh that hard!!
Avi and Hudson were playing that same game on the chair that I described in yesterday's blog. Except today Hudson was "driving" and instead of going to "Colorado" they were going on a trip to the "garbage dump." Haha!! Avi seemed to be totally satisfied with their choice of destination!! Avi, do you like going to the garbage dump? She said, "Yes." :)
Well we're kind of loaded with pictures today so I'll go through them one by one!! These first three pictures are from yesterday afternoon. In the first picture Atley had just awoke from her nap and went over to talk to baby Svea. This doesn't happen too often so I try to snap a picture when it does. So precious!! In the 2nd picture Linnea is checking out Svea! The 3rd picture: There are 5 kids inside the geo-climber, plus Kenzie dumping the balls, and Linnea watching from the edge. Just as a FYI for you, yesterday was the last day at Little Treasures for Kenzie and Riley as they will be going to Summer Camps now that school is officially over as of this morning at 11:00. Their Grandparents are moving to Missoula as well so it may have been the last day for good. I'll miss them for sure! They've been a part of the Daycare Family for more than 8 years! (Where is Avi? See the yellow ball and look at the little blonde head directly to the left!! Avi!!) The last 2 pictures are from this morning. Hudson talking to Svea and Avi wearing two of the stacking cups on her feet. She actually took several steps with these cups stuck to her heals! Silly kid. She loves to experiment!!

Avi - 6/7/2018
Avilene ate half of waffle and bites of fruit salad for breakfast. For lunch she ate shepherd's pie with hamburger, green beans, carrots, and potatoes. She ate whole grain tortilla and two servings of cherries.
Frequently when Avilene and Hudson play in the swivel/rocker chair, the chair represents their car and the one pushing is the "driver." Avi is usually the driver! :) She was pushing and Hudson asked, "where are we going?" Avi said, "On vacation. To see your Tutu!" Hudson said, "She's in Colorado." Avi stopped the chair and started pushing it in the opposite direction. She said, "Ok. This is Colorado." Ha! I love it!!
(For those who haven't seen the "signs" in the Daycare.) The next picture is just some of the signs that Kenzie and Riley have made for the daycare. They point at these signs like the kids can read!! "Follow the signs!!" They've drilled the kids and this morning Hudson just randomly said, "Be kind and caring." (2nd sign from the left.) Then he said, "Nora! Be kind and caring!" I couldn't see any reason for the admonition - at that particular moment!! :)
There is a part of the pillow that is black (hard to see in the picture) and Svea was focused on it and just talking and cooing so loud. So precious and cute. Then I like the following picture because Nora and Svea were both focused on their hands.
Here are a couple more pictures from this morning. The kids were watching the street sweepers again and then in the last picture Nora and Avilene were in the igloo and Atley kept peeking in and they were all laughing uproariously!! I love that sound!!

Avi - 6/6/2018
Avilene ate most of french toast and two servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of "Whole 30" Chili with ground beef, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, and peppers. She ate tropical fruit and whole wheat dinner roll. (She ate a big lunch!!) Avi didn't really want to talk about the "dentist experience" so I just asked her if the dentist was a man or a woman. She said, "He was a guy." :)
Nora hasn't yet met a baby that wasn't created to be her personal pillow!! Ha! It's a good thing we have a couple of pretty mellow babies or they'd have to be protected continually behind the fencing!! Nora still tries to lay her head on Linnea, but Linnea is moving fast these days!! Nora is sweet to the babies - she just likes to lay her head on them. Just in case anyone is wondering; Nora would never have allowed someone to do this to her when she was a baby!! :)
Hudson is back at Little Treasures today after spending some time with his Tu Tu. Avi, Atley, and Nora were all pretending to sleep and Hudson was covering them with blankets. (Avi is on the left.) This next note is not about Avi, but you might find it interesting! I want to make a comment about how loud Atley sings. Yes, I've talked about that a lot, but this morning the music was playing, someone was pushing on the pop-up toys which also sing a loud ditty, and Atley doesn't care; she just sings louder and louder and louder until she drowns out the background noise!! Lauralea couldn't get out of here fast enough!! Haha!!
Here are a couple more pictures from this morning. The kids heard the street sweeper and ran to the window to watch. In the last picture the kids were waiting for me so we could do some coloring on coffee filters at art time. There are holes in the gate (for adjustment bolts) and the kids like to put their mouth on them and blow because it makes a whistling sound! Yup, it's so sanitary!!

Avi - 6/5/2018
Avilene ate toasted whole wheat english muffin and three servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of pork chop meat, ate whole wheat toast, roasted vegetables (ate carrots, no potatoes, ate beets), and ate her applesauce.
Well we may as well start the Blog with pictures of the youngest Cutie McFutie!! Svea is totally focused on Sister and sister's constant motion!! With a slightly amused look in the 2nd picture. Avi was doing all kinds of antics for Svea and Svea eventually slid down and Avi said, "Sit her up again Gary so she can watch me!!" :)
Next picture; "Gary! I'm under here!!" Yes I know that sweetie; you haven't quit jabbering long enough for me to lose track of where you're at!! :) Frequently (including this morning) when I go do something in the kitchen she says, "Steam is hot!!" Thank you for the reminder! Then she continued (on a different theme of course), "Jackson is my cousin. Jackson is a boy. Hudson is a boy." So I asked her, "Is Hudson your cousin too?" She said, "No Hudson is Gary's .......(long pause)..... Hudson is my friend." :) Nicely done Avilene!
The last picture is Avi "playing" with Linnea. Actually she said she was giving her some more "huggies!" Yup, those infamous huggies! Avi looked at Linnea when I brought her out from her nap and Avi said, "Her face is cute and she has brown eyes." Yes she does. "Svea has blue eyes." :) Yup, you're right again.

Avi - 6/4/2018
Avilene ate bites of whole grain chex cereal and ate peaches for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground beef, whole wheat hamburger bun, no tomatoes, ate avocados, and half of oranges.
We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and Linnea is back after a week on the Oregon coast. So lots of good things happening this morning. (Except Hudson is not here to enjoy Linnea and he adores her!) All the kids were surrounding Linnea and happy to see her! I asked Avi what she was doing and Avi said, "Giving her (Linnea) huggies!!" Hmmm....I guess I didn't realize pulling on someone's legs qualified as a "hug!!" :)
First picture; Baby Linnea greeting Baby Svea!! Two little cuties! So far Linnea has been just touching and patting Svea; nothing painful! (Of course I keep Svea behind a protective fence most of the time and monitor her closely the rest of the time.) In the 2nd picture Avilene had to come over and see what the babies were doing!
Here are a couple more pictures from this morning's activities. Nora was intently watching Avi and Atley try on dress-up clothes. I was laughing so hard watching Atley with the dress-up clothes! First she tried to put the shorts on her head, that didn't work, so she worked at getting the sports jersey on her legs. Nora's expression never changed - she just kept watching. Which made it all the funnier to me!! :) Here's the story behind the last picture. Atley had been peeking out the side window saying, "Look at the dandelion! Look at the dandelion!" (Except it's actually a small yellow flower about the same size as a dandelion!) Then Avilene got on the igloo and said the same thing.

Avi - 6/1/2018
Avilene ate oatmeal and dried cranberries for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of everything: tilapia, whole wheat elbow noodles, green beans, and applesauce. (They love the applesauce smothering their noodles!) On Fridays when we have hot cereal I always ask if they want their raisins, cranberries, or whatever, in their cereal or beside the cereal. "In or beside?" This morning Avi said, "Hey Gary! I want cranberries beside of me!" That hit my funny bone!! The wording was SO stinking cute!!
Here are a couple of pictures from yesterday afternoon. This old stroller has small wheels and isn't the easiest thing to maneuver, but Avi mastered it pretty well yesterday. (Nora also does pretty well with it - primarily because she's amazingly persistent!!) And if the smile on Svea's face is any indication I think she was liking it too!! :) The 2nd picture is of Riley getting acquainted with Svea. Riley loves the babies and the babies have always loved her as well!! Riley has a very gentle and unassuming manner about her.
Well we have 3 kids (Avi, Atley, Svea) here today and 3 (Linnea, Hudson, Nora) are absent. Avi and Atley had lots of fun this morning (judging by the running, laughing, squealing, jumping) and were pretty much going non-stop full speed ahead! I took this next picture when Avi got a couple of blocks and said, "I'm skiing Gary! I'm skiing!" Atley immediately did the same thing! Except Avi realized her skis were mismatched colors and had to fix that!! (Atley, on the other hand had mismatched colors and didn't care! Ha!) Then Atley crashed and now it was Avi's turn to copy that maneuver!! And it turned into a game of crashing!!
For art time today we got some stamps and the girls had fun with those. There are lots of different bugs, a few animals, dinosaurs, birds, etc. The girls worked at it for a long time. When they were done Avi asked, "Are we gonna spray it!?!" That's the go-to question for every art project!! The only time we spray them with water is when we color on coffee filters!! :)
