Avilene ate a breakfast combo: scrambled eggs, sausage, and hash browns. For lunch she ate some of everything: pork chop, whole wheat english muffin, vegetable mix, and applesauce. The vegetable mix was "roasted root vegetables." Baby red potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, and Brussel sprouts. Yes, I know brussel sprouts grow above ground, but 3 out of 4 is not bad! :)
This first picture is from yesterday afternoon. I primarily like this picture because all the kids were playing close enough together to get in the same picture. Riley is the "little Mommy" taking care of Baby Nora. Kenzie on the left, Hudson on the right, Sophie in the middle, and Avilene in the foreground. Reid had already left for home.
We read books and did some coloring at Art Time on coffee filters. Avi colored for a couple of minutes and then was ready to be done. She stayed on task for two minutes, which I thought was pretty good. She's kind of interested in doing it, but she's more interested in doing it her way - which involves painting her lips and face! :) And coloring the highchair tray. Which is just fine because they are washable markers of course.
Here's two pictures of Avi perched on the legos table. She was playing up there yesterday and then again this morning. She easily gets up there and back down, but she's been trying to experiment with going down feet first. And she got mad at me when I (gently) helped her turn on her tummy and go down the safe way! (Which is the way she'd previously been doing it!) She does have her own opinions! Ha! She was watching Reid's antics when I took this first picture. In the 2nd picture she was grabbing a legos out of the drawer!! And again she wasn't thrilled when I showed her a better way!! i.e,....play on the floor!! :)
