Avi - 7/7/2017

Avi ate malt-o-meal cereal and plums for breakfast.  For lunch we had roasted "beef kabobs" with zucchini, red peppers, and pineapple.  She ate the meat, half of vegetables, and ate banana.  She only had a couple bites of whole wheat elbow noodles.  When I was cleaning up after breakfast and walking back and forth one of the times she said, "Hi Gary."  So cute.  "Hi Avilene."  She is saying so many words and learning more every day.  When she was playing with the doll blankets (pictures below) she was saying, "blanket, blanket, blanket."  Over and over.  Then it started sounding like, "ba-lanket, ba-lanket, ba-lanket."  :)  She was just experimenting with the different sounds.

I just want to make note of the fact that we're playing outside every morning and enjoying the fresh air before it gets too hot in the afternoon.  When the afternoon temperature in the shade is close to 100 degrees like it's been this week I've just been keeping the kids indoors.  We had lots of fun chasing bubbles this morning.  Reid was ready to go in by lunch time and said, "I'm burning up!" Ha!

In these first two pictures - she loves this chair just as much as Reid does - and she obviously was there first!  So Reid started tossing his blanket over her head and kept saying, "Who turned off the lights?  Who turned off the lights?"  She didn't care, she just sat there.  :)

Here are a couple pictures of Avi with the "ba-lanket" on her head.  She's running across the room and then jumping on the mattress!  Geez!!  Atley appears quite impressed with it all!  I know I was! Ha!  Baby Nora loves the whole "ba-lanket" thing over her head too and she was actually doing it first this morning.  (See pictures on Nora's Blog!)  But like I said in Nora's Blog, Avi is taking this to a whole different level!  Setting the bar kind of high!
