Avilene had a bite or two of french toast and ate dried plums for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of pulled pork sandwich, half of peas, and ate some cantaloupe. At breakfast Sophie said, "Hey Gary, is this Snack?" No, this is breakfast. Why? She pointed at Hudson and Avilene and said, "These guys said it was snack." Haha! I guess they could be considered an unreliable source. Ha!
The following note is just an FYI for the Daycare Families. Things were a bit hectic right after breakfast (actually during breakfast) because Atley puked in her breakfast tray and that needed to be cleaned and also call her Mom and Dad to come get her. So that took some time and I'm only sharing this because if it's a stomach bug then others may have been exposed. The State Regulations are concerned about confidentiality, but in a Family Daycare Home that is hardly possible. I could tell you that a child had to be sent home with an illness, but it's not hard to figure out who it is!! :) And I feel it's important to let the Parents know when their child has been exposed.
We read books, sang some songs and eventually went outside. We only played outside for probably 20 minutes and came in to prepare for lunch. It was hard to see the mountains this morning and I use that as a gauge for "air quality" during fire season. Speaking of outside, yesterday afternoon Avi spotted a squirrel on the power line and said, "squirrel squirrel." And it's so cute how she says "squirrel." She stayed focused on that squirrel. She said, "Squirrel walking....squirrel leaving...bye squirrel."
I love this first picture! Some times you jump off the balance beam, sometimes you run off the balance beam. She also jumped on the mattress with a blanket over her head and in the last picture she's obviously practicing some bike riding outside as well.
