Avilene ate two servings of whole wheat toast and ate grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her pork roast, ate whole grain tortillas, vegetables (ate carrots, bites of potatoes, ate sweet potatoes), and ate a large serving of fruit salad. When someone is done with eating and says, "I'm done" then the rest usually say it too! Avi, probably more than anyone, is always saying, "I'm done!" while sticking more food in her mouth!! :) Uhh, you still have food in your mouth Avi. This first picture was Avi at breakfast eating with her eyes closed. She did that for a long time. This age frequently experiments with their eyes closed, plugging their ears, etc!! (Then us "old" people experiment with glasses and hearing aids!! Haha! ) And if that joke doesn't resonate with you I guess you'll just have to wait a few years!! :)
Here's a note from yesterday. Before we went outside Kenzie asked, "Gary, can we play with the blocks?" I said, "Sure, why do you ask?" Kenzie answered, "Avi said we couldn't!" Haha! That made me laugh! Two year old telling the 2nd grader she can't play with the blocks. (I think it was because Avi knew we were getting ready to go outside!)
Hudson and Avilene were at the window having a conversation about the snow - arguing if it was snowing or not!! Haha! Then Avi said the "snow melt." Hudson asked, "Who told you that!?!" Avi said, "My mother." Hudson asked, "Who's your mother?" Avi said, "Molly." Hudson (expanding his inquiry) asked, "Who's Atley's mother?" Avi said, "Megan." Hudson asked, "Who's Gary's mother?" Ha! Avi (grinning) said, "I don't know." :)
The kids did lots of puzzles, read stories, played on the mattress, and built with the legos. Here's a picture of my 2 year olds!! Just before I took this last picture Nora was kind of laying on the balance beam and it was cute with all four of them doing the same thing.
