Avilene ate whole wheat toast and grapes for breakfast. (I wasn't sure they were coming for breakfast and I didn't have enough frozen mangoes thawed out!) For lunch she ate two large servings of ground beef with marinara sauce on whole wheat spaghetti noodles, no cauliflower, and ate two servings of fruit salad.
This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon, but they were playing this same game again this morning and it looked exactly like this. I introduced them to this game months ago and eventually put it into the toy exchange so they have access to it and play on their own. They are doing pretty well with it and mostly following the rules. (I heard Avi saying this morning; "That is NOT how we play the game Atley!" Ha!) I like the cooperation that I'm seeing as well. They are definitely growing in that area.
Avi asked, "Gary! Are you talking to yourself!?!?" Yes, I am. You caught me. Haha! Happens all the time. Another Avi note; I frequently ask Avi and Atley for help with lots of different things and they love helping. And I'll give different instructions and see if they can follow. Avi totally nails it almost all the time. Not super hard stuff, but enough to make them stop and think for a moment. For example; I asked Avilene, "Please turn on the light switch (3 choices on this panel) closest to the door." No problem. :)
More pictures from this morning: Avi jumping and Atley waiting for her turn on the "numbers game." That's what Atley and Avi call it. I call it the "dance game." You should watch Avi do this; she's quick with seeing the numbers light up and knowing where they are!! Last picture; Feeding Callahan this morning and she even stopped mid-puzzle and asked to feed him.
