Avi - 4/2/2020

Avilene skipped breakfast; "I already ate at my house."  For lunch she ate hamburger & sausage pizza with the meat, peppers, pineapple, tomato sauce, and olives.  She had bites of whole wheat pizza crust (which we serve separately), and ate three servings of pineapple on the side.

The pictures in this Blog are basically going to cover yesterday afternoon.  April 1st is Nora's birthday and considering the pandemic we decided to have an impromptu birthday party.  (And by "we" I basically mean Lauralea!!)  We did 4 different games and one activity (making play-doh) and it used up at least 2 hours of the afternoon.  THANK YOU LAURALEA!!  Considering we have a back room full of supplies it wasn't a stretch for this to happen!  It was lots of fun and a great substitute for a missed party!!

This first picture was yesterday morning when it was snowing quite hard and steady!  The girls were watching Neighbor boy Joel filling a water tank in the back of his family's pickup.  All 6 of their older kids have participated in FFA in high school and Joel will do the same when he gets there.  They have to go feed and water their sheep, pigs, and cattle every day.

Next picture; This was a game where they carried a couple of little pom-poms on their spoons down the hall and if they dropped them then they started over.  You can see Svea in the background and she'd just dropped her's - but she made it half way down the hall first!!

Next picture:  This was probably the highlight of the afternoon.  Making play-doh.  I was actually needing some fresh play-doh; the stuff we've been using was made several years ago.  At least 2 years before any of these kids were born!!  And then we were able to spend time playing with the dough with new toys I purchased last year.  Last picture; A game of animal recognition and letter recognition.
