Avi - 1/9/2018

Avilene ate toasted whole wheat english muffin and ate dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of chicken, bite or two of brown rice, ate most of stir fry vegetables, and ate her oranges.  These were better oranges and the kids loved them!

These first two pictures are from yesterday afternoon and I wanted you to see an example of what the after school girls do with the little ones.  They built this three-sided block structure around the front of the igloo with an access hole in the front.  (In the first picture Avilene is exiting through the access hole!  ha!)  Nora is watching Avi leave, Atley is looking at a book, Hudson and Kenzie are already in the igloo.  They had books in there to read to the kids.  The 2nd picture is just taken from the top looking down into it.  Avi is probably the most independent of the kids right now and will play along for awhile, but likes to move on and do her own thing too!  (Which is probably what she did after exiting the igloo in the first picture.)

Avi has been sitting on lots of the toys lately.  Last week it was this very little legos elephant that she kept sitting on.  This week it's these airplanes you see in the picture below.  I finally had to ask them to stop because everyone was sitting on them and getting a bit rough!!  (They're not designed for Toddlers to ride on them!  Maybe this afternoon after nap I'll bring some toys from the back room that they can ride on!!)  We also read lots of books, did some dot painting, and Avi was helping me work with Atley and Hudson on their colors.  (I love the cute little expression on her face in this picture!)
