Avilene ate whole wheat bagel and three servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, brown rice, ate stir fry vegetables, and raspberries.
Yesterday when we were outside I said, "Summer is almost over" and Avilene said, "Then it will be falling." How cute is that?!? Also yesterday outside Reid told me, "Hey Gary! Guess what! I told Avi your Mom's here and I got her to look!!" Ha! Well you tricked a 2 year old! Congratulations!!
Avilene walked in the door this morning and immediately said, "Is Lauralea here? Can we do some testing?" Haha! As a matter of fact Avi, Lauralea plans on doing some testing today!! Lauralea was with us for about 2 hours this morning doing some preschool trays and also some testing on the three oldest kids. I think the parents will appreciate these development assessments that she's working on and it will also help me as their caregiver to look at some things to focus on. The first picture is one of the "tests" she did. She drew a horizontal line on her paper and asked if they could do one. Then circle, then vertical line. Check out Avi's paper!! :) (You'll see these papers when we have our meeting. Don't tell Lauralea you've already seen it! Haha!) Picture number two: the kids are doing some preschool trays.
This next picture needs some explanation: Lauralea was "testing" Avi to see if she understood what it means to have or follow the "rules" of a game. (Nope, not yet - that's a little above her age range.) Anyhow, Lauralea was telling them a simple rule of "duck duck goose." The person who is "it" (goose) goes around the circle and touches each one saying, "duck" or "goose" and when they say "goose" that person has to jump up and chase and the "it" person tries to get to their spot first. Lauralea and I did it first to show them what that looked like. When it was their turn they were all just having fun chasing around and around the circle, but Nora got FURIOUS when someone sat in her spot!! Oh man that just hit my funny bone! Uhhhh...that's kind of the object of the game Nora. That's obviously way above her age capability as well, but in the context of this game it so was stinking funny!!
This next picture is Svea doing what she's been doing lately. Go, go, go. Nice work Svea. You're working VERY hard at mastering the crawl and you'll soon be pulling yourself up!! Find Svea in the last picture when Linnea was giving Lauralea a goodbye love.
