Avilene ate oatmeal and baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, and potatoes. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and ate her apricots.
First picture: All five girls playing on or beside the mattress. It's pretty cool how they all play on there and almost never run into each other. Linnea is sitting on the mattress and loves being right in the middle of everything. That's a temperament/personality thing. Some kids would never do that; they'd much rather observe from the sidelines. (Which is what Nora does in some scenarios, but she usually loves to jump with everyone.) Look at Baby Svea watching it all from the edge of the mattress totally fascinated! She will probably be out there very soon!
It's so cute how much Avilene likes Linnea and will frequently take time to hang out beside her and play with her!! Here are a couple pictures from this morning of that exact scenario!! She likes being the "little mommy" and I'm sure you've seen that many times with her interactions with Svea! That reminds me of earlier this week when Atley was giving instructions to Nora at the lunch table. She was telling Nora to "keep your head over your plate" and at the same time Atley had some spaghetti hanging in her hair! Hilarious!!) Finally Avilene said to Atley: "Don't worry about it! She's fine!!"
Last two pictures: It's so impressive how Avilene can focus on what's she chosen to play with if it's something that captures her attention!! WOW! These two pictures represent at least 30 - 40 minutes of her staying right on task and she was having so much success with it!! First picture; she's finding the matching pieces by looking for clues from the large card on the table in front of her. (She's completed 8 of them which are lined up on the table!!) Last picture: Look how she has these buttons lined up! She's moving those with the magnetic end (through the plexiglass) one at a time! Sometimes they'd fall off and she'd have to pick it up again and maneuver it into position. Very meticulous!! That's so impressive especially considering her age!!
