Avi & Svea - 9/4/2018

Avilene ate toasted whole wheat english muffin and three servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of pork chop, ate whole wheat toast, most of roasted vegetables (beets and sweet potatoes), and ate her applesauce.  Avi was still eating breakfast and Atley was doing some puzzles and Avi was giving instructions from the table.  "Upside-down Atley, upside-down.!!"  (About 3 or 4 times.)  Next puzzle; "That's a hard puzzle Atley."  (That's true - no pictures on the puzzle board so they have to go by shape.)  "It goes right there."  Atley does well with the puzzles, but she was also listening pretty well and following Avi's instructions!!

In a daycare setting it's always comical when an infant starts walking because the other kids see it, but they don't really see it.  Days or sometimes weeks go by before they actually realize the baby is now walking.  I've seen this over and over!  Well today was the big day!  Avi said, "She's walking Gary! She's walking!! She's standing up!!"  Hahah!  So Atley, Avi, and Nora were lined up watching Linnea walk!  Too cute!!  It's now Official!!  Linnea's walking!

We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange and everyone was super busy.  Plus Avi and Atley did some preschool activities.  They asked, "Can we do preschool stuff?"  Yes you can.

Here are some more pictures from the morning's activities.  Avi lining up toys (this time it's cars) again.  If you see the same picture over and over you can assume they like that activity!!  She had to have all the cars headed in the same direction as well!  :)  The kids were playing with the masks and Avi was showing Linnea her's.  Avi played with other toys while wearing the mask.

 

I saw Svea moving in the monitor so I knew she was awake from her morning nap.  I gave the kids their lunch plates and when I went in I was surprised to see she was sitting up!  Ha!  (That's a first in the crib.)  I sat her by the igloo and Linnea came over to greet her.  Linnea is amazingly gentle with Svea!!  (So far!  I don't want to jinx it!!  Ha!)
