Avi & Svea - 9/5/2018

Avilene ate french toast and strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate lots of "Whole 30 Chili" (no beans) with hamburger, peppers, sweet potatoes, and tomatoes.  She also ate whole wheat dinner roll and tropical fruit.

Here are some pictures from outside time yesterday.  I got a 2nd sand table plus more sand toys and the kids had lots of fun with those.  Avi was wanting specific instructions what to do with the sand toys and laid them a certain way and then asked, "Does that not matter Gary? Does that not matter?" That works just fine Avi.  I think that is so cute and sweet.  Second picture: Avi, Atley, and Nora were down at the big chain link gate and one of them said, "Ice cream."  What?  So I walked down and sure enough there was this ice cream truck!!  (I did consider loading the kids up on sugar and sending them home!!  Ha!) And the ice cream truck drove by a 2nd time real slow to torment and tempt everyone!!  :)

More pictures from yesterday: Avi was standing on one leg and said, "This is what Sylvia does!"  So cute.  (Sorry if I spelled her name wrong!)  And Svea sitting in the grass being her cute self!  I just love that little round head!!  Avi just randomly said, "I like the Packers Gary!"  Does Daddy like the Packers?  (I know the answer!)  Avi said, "No he does not. I do."  Haha!  Who is the trouble- maker teaching this heresy!?!  :)

Svea being cute again!!  I was looking at her in the mirror when I took this picture.  Lauralea did some preschool trays with Avi and Atley this morning before she went to work.  Avi was using the "pinchers" to pick up the colored fuzzy balls and deposit them in the right tray.  Next picture - This was a new one Avi had not tried before and boy did she nail this!!  She has some great dexterity!! There are a dozen bolts in the basket and she found the nuts that fit each one and threaded them on. And there are some pretty small ones in there!!  Impressed!!  She also did some good work with the scissors again.

We read books and also played outside this morning.  Here's a picture of Atley and Avi doing some art with markers and stickers.  They are both doing lots of representational drawing now and not just lots of scribbling; although it may frequently still look like scribbling!!  For example Avi made a "H" this morning (a very good H by the way) and Atley was "making a tree."  We taped their art work to the door so you won't miss seeing it!  :)
