Avi - 10/9/2019

Avilene ate two servings of whole wheat toast and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch: bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of hash browns, ate sweet potatoes, and a large serving of fruit salad.  Here's another picture of Avi and Atley at Lunch.  They're doing very well with serving themselves and pouring their own milk.  Side note;  I posted a picture in Svea's Blog of the kids looking at the garbage truck.  Atley frequently calls it the "trash truck."  She said, "I saw the trash truck."  Avilene said, "Well maybe it's a garbage truck."  Haha.

We were reading a book titled "Please say Please."  (A penguin's guide to manners.)  So I asked this question - "What does Manners mean?"  (That's a question that this age group cannot typically answer.)  Avilene said, "Say please."  Very good example of what it means!  Impressed me.
Another Avi note: I'm sure you've also noticed her lately how she likes messing around with the saliva in her mouth.  This morning she asked, "Hey Atley!! You wanna pop my bubble?!?"  Nooooo....we keep our spit in our mouth and that's not a game we play at Gary's!!  :)

Next picture:  Avi has on a lioness suit and she got a microphone for her and Atley.  Avi said, "Hey Atley, let's sing a banjo song."  Haha, I've no idea what a banjo song might be, but she started singing, "Shoo fly don't bother me!"  So there you go, a banjo song!!  Next Avi said, "Hey Atley, you sing and I'll dance!!"  Apparently Atley picked a slow song because Avi soon said, "Can you sing really fast!?!?"  LOL!  Next picture:  Feeding Callahan again.  This was nice because Svea was poopy so I changed her while Avilene was feeding the baby.  Thanks Avi!!  Last picture: Atley and Avi assisting in retrieving Callahan from his morning nap!!  Ha!  Hey Atley, do you have a range finder with those binoculars?  What's the approximate distance until we reach Callahan!?!
