Avi - 5/9/2017

Avilene ate bites of whole wheat bagel (toasted and buttered) and ate some banana bites - substituted for grapes.  For lunch she ate shrimp, brown rice, and stir fry vegetables.  I withheld the mixed berries which I was afraid might irritate the rash.  Speaking of her rash - she had a poop shortly before lunch and I felt so bad for her!!  As soon as I got her cleaned up I snuggled her and she lay on my chest for a long time.  I really didn't want to get off the couch and go load up the lunch tray!  :)

Sophie asks for puzzle time every day - sometimes 2 or 3 times.  Avilene likes to watch and I give her chances at puzzle time as well, but so far she's not that interested in doing it.  But she certainly likes watching Sophie do them.

Avilene came in like her usual ball of fire energetic self!  :)  By watching her behavior this morning I would never have guessed that she'd had a rough night.  But I really appreciate you always giving me a heads-up!  It really helps to know and you are so good about that!!  I took these next two pictures when she was swinging the blanket, whipping it around, and running in circles!  What a goof!  She loves being busy and rowdy!  And then when I laughed at her she loved that!!

 

Sophie had been wearing a mask and then she was watching Avilene mess around with the masks too. Sophie had on the mask and was lunging at Nora and Avi was laughing and Nora was squealing and laughing as well.  Believe me, not all kids appreciate these animal masks!!  We've had more than one child who was so afraid of them that we'd put the masks away during those toy exchanges so the kids would quit screaming and crying,
