Avilene ate two servings of waffles and ate fruit salad for breakfast. For lunch she ate Shepard's pie with ground beef, carrots, green beans, and potatoes. She ate whole wheat tortillas and also ate her cherries.
Several mornings recently when Lauralea is leaving Avilene will say, "I go to Lady Griz with my Dad." Ok, that sounds like fun. I finally realized Lauralea has been wearing her warm Griz coat and I'll bet that's what's triggering that statement!! Here's another cute remark from Avi: Yesterday afternoon I was playing with Svea and I told Avilene; "I think you sister is pretty sharp!!" Avi said, "Yes, her fingernails are sharp!" Haha! And that's what we call "literal thinking."
First picture: Avi asked if she and Atley could color with markers on the box so I got the markers for her. Linnea was right there watching closely. I soon noticed a mark on Linnea's chin and I asked Avi, "Did you put mark on Linnea's chin?" Avi said, "Yes." I asked, "Why?" Avi's answer; "Because I almost didn't." Ha! What kind of answer is that!?! A typical one from a 2-3 year old!! Nonsensical!! Later, Linnea went over to the yellow bench to look at books and Avi moved right over to make room for her. Which I thought was very sweet. (Making up for face-painting Linnea!)
More pictures from this morning: Avi using the blocks for skiing. Next picture: More of the same just like yesterday. They asked to do some more gluing, Avi practiced with scissors again, and in the last picture Avi found the number 3 cookie cutter while using the play dough. Nora was concerned about some play dough on the table and Avi (in a "scolding" tone) said, "Don't worry about it Nora! Gary will get it!" Ha! That's the pot calling the kettle black when it comes to telling someone else to "not fret about something!" Miss Avilene who frets about lots of things.
